Nice methods for fuel saving

.Do not warm up the car for a long time. Proper warm-up is a good habit. But, long time warm-up in a stationary status may increase fuel consumption and cause carbon deposit in engine. It is recommended to run the car in low speed during cold weather and run the car in the medium speed during general cold weather for 2 or 3 minutes.

.Do not run the engine at idling for more than 5 minutes. As fuel consumed in 1-minute idling is the same as fuel consumed in starting one time. Fuel consumed by engine in 5-mintue idling is the same as fuel consumed in running more than 1 km. If you often park the car, you should consider the cold weather conditions and the battery capacity to avoid abnormal startup.

.Reduction of load in the car may help to save fuel. Each 10kg load may increase fuel consumption by almost up to 1%. Therefore, you should regularly sort the trunk. Do not use the trunk as a storage compartment. Less frequent opening of windows may help to save fuel. When the car is running at 70 km/h or above, wind resistance with windows opened may increase fuel consumption by 1 liter each 1km.

.Try to avoid depressing the accelerator pedal heavily. Fuel saving test shows that driving with accelerator pedal depressing to the bottom may cause fuel consumption to increase twice or thrice compared driving by medium speed. Driving with accelerator pedal depressing to the bottom causes not only large fuel consumption, but also negative effect to car life.

.Tire pressure should meet the relevant standards. Too low tire pressure may increase friction force, leading to more fuel consumption. Do not change tires with different size. Proper tire pressure may help to increase fuel consumption.

.Depress mildly the pedals in starting or braking. Do not operate the pedals with excessive and abrupt force.

.Do not neglect vehicle regular maintenance. Unclean air filter and oil filter, worn spark plugs and faulty emission control system may cause increase of fuel consumption. In order to maintain the car in the best performance status, you should replace engine oil once every 5,000km and at the same time check three kinds of filters. If driving in desert, you should clean up the intake filter element to prevent sand from entering the engine.

.Use gasoline and engine oil recommended by the car manufacturers.

.Use the car air-conditioning system in a reasonable manner. In hot weather, it is better to park your car in the shade. After getting on the car, open the windows and wait several minutes before starting.

.Plan travel time reasonably and avoid rush hour.

.Plan travel routes reasonably.

.Run the car in a proper speed. In general, the most fuel efficient speed is 88-90 km/h; when speed is 105km/h, fuel consumption may increase by 15% due to wind resistance; when speed is 110-120km/h, fuel consumption may increase by approximately 25%.

.Refuel the car in morning. In the morning, air temperature is relatively low and the gasoline density is higher. Therefore, the same price may help you get a little more gasoline.
